The Expendables 2 Review: Nostalgia-evoking albeit average movie

Starring Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, Jet Lee, Jason Stratham and Jean-Claude Van Damme, ‘The Expendables 2’ is a movie that will bring a smile on your lips. Not because it is an excellent movie (no, it’s not) and not because it has any extraordinarily mind-blowing action (though it’s still quite good) but because it will evoke lots and lots of nostalgia. The starry lineup in itself is a dream for any action director. Yes, it’s true that these veteran actors, who once ruled the industry, are now past their prime. But when such big men are together in the same screen, then you cannot help but gape. Overall, it’s an average movie but watch it for the charisma the oldies bring in.
